Virtual Tumour Targeting Task Using Unity 3D

The project is derived from the concept of Fitts Law - an model of speed-accuracy tradeoffs used in Human-Computer Interface. We aimed to develop an task which generates virtual tumour in virtual brain model through Unity 3d scripting.

It is applicable to complex areas of surgical operations where speed and accuracy integrates together for seamless performance. World Health Organisation states that 3-20% procedures result in severe complications. Surgeries with human brains deals most complex situations. Due to high complexity in neurosurgery, speed-accuracy of neurosurgeon carries enormous significance. Human error may produce unavoidable consequences on patient health. The study of human performance deals with physical objects which are controllable factors, such as tracking tumour in human brain.
